Day 0: Dragon Hill

Well, this is it. There’s no turning back now because I HAVE ARRIVED. I am happy to report that after almost 2 whole days of traveling I have safely arrived to Korea. It was long but thankfully I managed to sleep for most of my flights.

What’s it like you ask? Well, so far I haven’t seen much. When we stopped in Japan for a short layover we had the opportunity to get off the plane to stretch legs and use some free WiFi. The mountain range that surrounded the airport we stopped at was gorgeous. I don’t see mountains in my day-to-day life so I appreciated the view. Once we arrived in Korea things moved fairly quickly. Happy to report everything has been fairly painless so far – thanks for the prayers because I know it’s God looking out! We had a one hour bus ride to our current stop from our landing area. Sadly jet lag is kicking my butt a little so I dozed off right away.

I’m settled in here at Dragon Hill Lodge for a few days, this place is GORGEOUS. Like come stay with your family on a week vacation kind of nice. Wish I could have stayed here during my time in Georgia. IHG you need to step up your game! Sad to report there wasn’t any exciting Korean food to get my hands on so my first meal was pizza. Oops. However, the coolest thing about this place is knowing that many years ago my father stayed here too! Pretty neat, huh? I’m sure a lot has changed since then, but I think it’s cool getting to see some of the same things he once did.

I didn’t think the jet lag would get me like it has but it’s almost 3 a.m. on Tuesday March 15 and I am wide awake for the 3rd time tonight. 😦 In-processing begins in 2 hours! I have WiFi here at the hotel so if you wish to keep in touch via text, calls and video chat I suggest you download Kakao Talk and add me.

Thank you for the many well wishes and prayers.
