Over the last month, I have been focusing my personal reading on my professional development as a business owner and writer. Both Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott and Blog2Book by Cathy Fyock instruct that as an aspiring writer, you should write every day.
You must engage your writing muscles.
I often struggle to find inspiration to write – especially if I sit down with the intent to do so. Typically, a thought sparks when I am nowhere near pen, paper or a computer and I am left struggling to remember my train of thought hours later (paired with a busy work day and laziness).
As you can imagine, the writing just never gets done.
That being said, I have challenged myself to write – according to the below prompt schedule – one blog a day for the next 31 days. I don’t promise to inspire with each post, but I do hope you will follow along as I work to exercise not only my writing muscles, but my creative voice muscles as well. I encourage you to provide commentary and feedback along the way, sharing with me what posts spark a dialogue within you and which you would hope to see similar content to in the future.
Let the journey begin!
